Why Not Teach Yourself?

Most of the creative people we work with are self taught - all they had to begin with was a creative drive, a willingness to learn and enough self-confidence to know they could do it - no matter what anyone else said! This website has been created by someone who taught themselves how to use a computer, how to use graphics programs and how to build websites...our artists and photographers have learnt it all themselves too...that's why we have so much respect for those of you out there who are setting out to learn a new craft too...It's hard work, but it's exciting and so rewarding!

What Would We Do Without Books?

Part of teaching yourself involves learning from others, and if you're "going it alone", one of the best ways to do this is through books (which are great, because you can keep them next to you 24/7, and every time you need a reminder how to do this or that, your "teacher" is right beside you!)

With this in mind, we've compiled some book lists which you may wish to take a look at - we hope you find them both inspirational and educational. The Internet as a Learning Tool

The internet is also a great resource for teaching yourself new skills - but be wary, just because it's published on the net doesn't mean it's true! Try to cross-reference and rely on more than one source of information or advice, so that you end up getting the real picture! There are many excellent blogs and websites specializing in art, design, writing, and photography...the key is to find the ones you like and you trust.
